Beth Carswell at AbeBooks.com posted this list of the top 10 reasons we may not get around to reading certain books. I have certainly been guilty of a couple of these — and perhaps you have too.

(This entry written as I look at the copy of Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts sitting on the bookshelf between The Transmigration of Timothy Archer by Philip K. Dick and Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, all of which have been on my best intentions list for longer than I’d care to admit.)
